Meeting

Hey ladies,

We will get together this Friday at 1:30 pm at my house.  Feel free to bring kids if you want.  You can work on either one of our two projects or bring something else you are knitting.  It's going to be fun!

Project #2

We will be working on the Cali Baby Vest.

This is a vest I made with this pattern using Noro Furin.

And this is a sweater I made using the pattern.

You will need:

• Approx. 150 yards of any worsted weight yarn.  You might want to choose a washable wool/acrylic blend since it will be worn by a kiddo.  Something like this (lion brand wool-ease)
• Size 8 12" or 16" circular needles

This is technically size 12 months, but it is stretchy.  If you want yours to be bigger, go with a thicker yarn like this (lion brand wool-ease chunky) and bigger needles (the ones suggested on the back). 

You will be able to do this if you can do both a knit and purl stitch.

First Meeting

We will be meeting at my house on Wednesday, February 9th at 8:00.  Come!  We will start our project and see how things go.

First Project

Hey everyone,

So here we go!

Our first project is going to be this (or something like it):

You will need:

• Lion Brand Hometown USA (or some other chunky yarn)
• Size 15 needles 

You don't have to use this exact yarn.  Anything chunky will work.  Just stay away from yarns with too much crazy who-ha.  If you do end up going with a different yarn, check the back of the label to see what size needle you should use.

Also, you do NOT need to use circular needles (like the ones in my picture).  I like them better than the individual ones, because my projects stay on them better.  You may use whichever style you like.
